By Abraham Joseph

Facebook is a wonderful marketing tool for you to use for your business, today nearly everyone uses Facebook on a daily basis in some form or another. Facebook should not replace your additional marketing strategies but can be added into your existing marketing forms.

This targeting is accomplished by Facebook's database of over 1 billion subscribers, and their demographics that are entered when they join Facebook and fill out their profile. The patterns of members, the groups they join also play an important role in being to pick out select individuals that meet the criteria of the ad being placed.

An example of this would be an advertiser seeking targeted families with small children. You can ask for that demographic, and ever narrow it down to the age of the parents and the number of children in the family.

Many businesses show great enthusiasm when setting up their Facebook pages which include various posts on a daily basis. However, this usually dies down quite quickly and then there are little or no posts in the months to follow. By actively paying attention to your Facebook site by placing posts every few days. You relay a message to potential customers that your business is current and up to date.

As we mentioned before, the more "likes"that you have, the more likely it is that other people will follow you. Using Facebook advertising, you can build this very quickly, literally adding thousands of followers every single month.
